Devised and validated the efficacy of a medical device (gait-based biofeedback) for use with Parkinson’s Disease patients
Integrated mobile-EEG data streams with external hardware (Android, gyro, accel, etc.)
Refining and implementing clinical pilot studies
Created EEG data analysis pipelines for pilot validation
Responsible for leading the coordination of multiple studies at a given time, training and directing a large volunteer pool. Programming heavy position, with a focus on experiment creation and implementation, and data collection and analysis.
Research focuses include:
Characterizing the early and middle stage attentional processes of depth perception via neural correlates, derived from electroencephalography (EEG)
Testing consumer available EEG hardware and establishing use within experimental protocols for future research
Establishing a protocol to embed event related potential triggers into remote EEG data streams
Combining eye tracking and machine learning algorithms to automate the detection of extraneous stimuli
Investigating electrophysiological correlates of attention in relation to virtual reality, exercise, and natural movements outside of the lab. Addition responsibilities of correspondence, scheduling, inventory, and training.
Research focuses inlcude:
Increasing EEG mobility by validating the use of alternative data collection hardware
Characterizing the effect of contextual factors of early stage auditory processing in ecologically valid paradigms
