"People call the Distress Line when they need someone to listen. Our callers may be experiencing crisis or distress for a number of reasons: relationship troubles, mental health concerns and financial issues are examples of things that our callers typically reach out about. Some of our callers may be at a point where they are experiencing suicidal thoughts or are trying to cope with an abusive or violent situation. No matter what type of issue a person is dealing with, the Distress Line is here to listen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days of the year. " - CMHA
